The Experience
What happens during a Colon Hydrotherapy session:
As a client lies comfortably on the treatment table in our spa-like treatment room, warm filtered water is slowly introduced into the colon. The temperature and pressure of this water is maintained and altered by the colon hydrotherapist. As the water volume increases in the colon it will stimulate an action called peristalsis; the rhythmic movement of the digestive tract. Your therapist may use pressure points or gentle massage on the abdomen to aid in dislodging waste from the walls of the colon. The waste and water is then carried out of the body through a small out flow hose attached to the speculum. The process takes about 30-45 minutes and the environment is both professional and tranquil.
The treatments are designed to be completed in succession because each treatment builds on the one prior. The colon becomes both more hydrated and responsive to the treatment due to cellular memory.
